James Whitaker is the PGA Professional in residence at Moor Allerton Golf Club. He has previously been employed as the manager of the National PGA Golf Academy at The Belfry, and the Nike Academy at De Vere Oulton Hall.
Professional's Shop
James and his staff run a newly remodeled and refurbished Professional Shop which now has a fabulous 1200 square feet of retail space. The new shop is stocked with a wide range of clothing, hardware and apparel from quality suppliers such as Galvin Green, Nike and Ping at competitive prices. Staff are well trained and able to offer expert advice you on your potential purchases. Customers are guaranteed a comfortable and quality shopping experience when they visit JW Golf at Moor Allerton Golf Club.

Practice and Tuition
Moor Allerton Golf Club are in the process of developing their practice facilities to include a modern driving range. The driving range will have state of the art bays to make practicing your technique a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Attached to the driving range will be a performance centre, where individual tuition and custom fitting will take place. The performance centre will be equipped with the latest technology, giving a state of the art contribution to the player's game.
James will be available for individual lessons for any level of player. If you prefer to attend group sessions, contact James and he will be able to advise you on group coaching which is being run, or could develop a program of group tuition for yourself and selected friends.
Playing lessons are also available.
All of James' tuition sessions will incorporate ball flight technology where appropriate. James will also advise you on your practice following each tuition session. It is advised that customers book in a program of lessons so that James can help a player really develop and improve their game.
Visitors, Societies and Corporate Golf
James' experience with visitors, corporate groups and societies is second to none. Whatever your requirements for the day, James and his team will endeavor to exceed your expectations. The Professional team can offer a wide variety of golf services such as clinics and first tee swing analysis. Gift packs can be tailored to suit your needs and goods may include your corporate logo if arranged.
Custom Fitting
As a Nike Ambassador, James has custom fitted many Professionals for their perfect clubs. At Moor Allerton, James offers a custom fitting service for Nike, Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade and Titleist. Custom fittings only take around one hour yet their result can change the efficiency and outcome of your game.
